Monthly Recap – May Edition 

Hey there, Modern Rose fam!

May may have been a little low-key, but we still found ways to sprinkle some sparkle into the month! 

First off, we hope all the amazing mamas out there had a fabulous Mother’s Day. This year, Mother’s Day was extra special to our nail tech, Heather, who gave birth to her beautiful baby girl! Mom & baby are home recovering well!

We also had a blast at the Shelton Food Truck Festival! We brought the glitter and glam with glitter tattoos and hair tinsel—turning heads and adding a little extra magic to the day. We loved to see the ones that stopped by! Thanks for saying hello! If you missed us, don’t worry, we still offer tinsel in salon & you can shine on while helping others:

For the entire month of June, we’re offering hair tinsel for just $20, and all proceeds will go to The Trevor Project—a nonprofit providing crisis support and suicide prevention services for LGBTQ+ youth. Every shimmer strand helps make a difference and supports a cause close to our hearts. Let’s shine for Pride Month!

As we roll into summer (although it’s been a bit rainy & chilly so far—can we get a little more sun, please!?), we’re all about gearing up for warmer days and fresh looks. Here are some hot summer hair and lash trends we’re loving:

-Lived-in blondes, honey balayage, and playful pops of color (think peach, lilac, or rose gold)

-Wispy, textured lashes for a natural yet flirty vibe

-Beach waves and effortless updos that can handle the heat (or the humidity!)

-Hair tinsel and subtle glitter accents to make your look pop at festivals, weddings, or just because!

And if you’re already planning for vacay hair and lashes—don’t wait! Our books are filling fast, so lock in your summer appointments early. 

And before we let you go, just a little housekeeping note to Leanna’s clients: Starting June 1, Leanna’s lash pricing will see a slight increase. This adjustment is due to rising inflation, tariffs, and the skyrocketing cost of goods. We’ve held off on passing along these increases as long as possible, but it’s become too much to absorb. We truly appreciate your understanding and continued support—it means the world to us all!
